I saw Slum Dog Millionaire at Bellevue's Lincoln Square this evening and really loved it. It's getting a lot of Oscar buzz right now, but not too much publicity otherwise.It's the tale of 2 brothers from the slums of Mumbai, who scratch and claw to stay alive as little boys, and how their destinies are cemented by an early experience. The show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" plays a significant part in the film too.
And what I take from it, without giving anything away, is that all the pain, suffering and stuff you go through will one day come back to help you find your way to truth.
It was great! Go see it!
