The fall colors this year in the Seattle area are, I think, the most beautiful I've ever seen here.They rival the colors of the East--although we're just in the early phases.
I've heard that dry summers, which we had this year, lend themselves to spectacular autumn colors.
So maybe all the hot, dry, oppressive weather was worth it.
