This post is for my friend and associate Dan, who wanted to see photos of my new puppy Motley. (he's the one with the mottled grey, black and coffee-colored coat)

"You are interrupting our play, Mommy-lady!"

Love comes in all colors.

"Hey, I was here FIRST!"

An explanation of the above dog: This is not Abbey. About an hour before I left to drive to Puyallup to meet (and eventually adopt) Motley, this wonderful dog (named Snoops) jumped up on the bench beside me at the Greenlake dog park.
She stayed very close, wanted to be cuddled and petted by me, and stayed for a very long time. I think her mottled coat was a sign that Motley was about to come into my life. She is a Shepherd mix, like Abbey was, with the same soft ears.
Her Daddy said Snoops never did this sort of thing, and that I must have treats in my pocket. I did not. I think Snoops felt my loss of Abbey and was comforting me. It was a wonderful moment.

Too precious for words.
