Halloween Houses


People go all out with Halloween decorations in my neighborhood. Dudley and I were walking to the Post Office the other day and here's a couple highlights:

These folks are just insane:

But you KNOW they've got a great sense of humor. Here's a close-up shot. My favorite part is Santa in the black mask.

These guys know that Jolly Old St. Nick is really a thief, waiting to rob you of your presents! (he's also wearing a cape--ode to Zorro, perhaps?)


These folks have a cute Halloween ghost tree too, but notice, on the left there's also a vampire hanging by a noose!

And this house is clever, just because I've never seen enormous spiders from space taking over a house like this. (don't look, Colleen!)


And then, Mr. Pumpkin Scarecrow welcomes you with his happy smile. Subtle but nice!

That last picture is straight out of my worst nightmare! I have to be very careful around Halloween time. I step very lightly in grocery stores that sell decorations.
